I am researching my g. grandfather Percival Adams Breckenridge. I do not know who his parents were or where he was born. I have thought that may be Percival Adams and Elizabeth Breckenridge were his parents. I know that back then if the woman did not have any males in her family to carry on the name they would give one of their sons her maiden name so the name Breckenridge could have been carried on. If you have any information that may be of help to me I would appreciate it. I noticed in the July 1870 census for Lockbourne, ohio that Percival Breckenridge was living with Jefferson Adams.
