I am looking for information about the Franklin County Infirmary. Actually, I am looking for any information as to where I might find the 1910 records as to who the people and reason for them being in the infirmary. Can anyone help me? Sincerely, Dorene

Can anyone > help > me? --------------- SNIP ---------------- The Franklin County Infirmary was established as the "Poor House" or "Poor Farm" in 1832 and was "ready for the reception of paupers on the first day of February, 1833." (Martin's 1858, History of Franklin County, p. 89) The name was later changed to the Franklin County Infirmary. Existing records are housed at the Ohio Historical Society Archives Library. If you will follow the steps below you should be able to locate the records that you are most interested in. Then you contact OHS, to learn more--OHS does charge a fee. Go to http://www.ohiohistory.org/ipac-cgi/ipac and in the drop down menu choose Author--enter Franklin County Home as the search phrase. You should get a list of 21 items. To learn what is in each item simply click on the link. You can save any of the items and have them emailed to you by simply clicking in the box alongside the title and when you have all that you want to research further checked go to the bottom of the page and have them search results emailed to you. You can also search using "Subject." The results will include items about the Infirmary in addition to the 21 items produced by the Infirmary.
