All I have on George Champe is his marriage date to Jane Eakin which is Aug. 21, 1798. Known siblings of George are Sgt. Major John m. Phoebe Barnard, William m. Elizabeth, Christopher (my line) m. Mary (Polly) Williams, Ann Elizabeth m. Terrence Popejoy, Frances (Frankey) m. James Shepherd. As far as the Ida Mae Judy book goes, of which I have a copy also, you can't rely alot on it because she confused Sgt. Major John with his father John and had the father married to the son's wife etc..And alot of researchers have based their lines on this book which just complicates things further.
