    1. Question about 1910 Census - Help.
    2. Diane Kittle
    3. On the 1910 U.S. Census there is a column labeled "Whether survivor Union, Confederate Army or Navy". I'm trying to determine if my GGGrandfather was in the Civil War or not. It has the number 5 in this column. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to the numbering (or at least not one apparent to me) so I'm confused. Two men listed before his family have the number 3, and 4 (in that order) and a 5 out beside my William Barr. William's son, listed just below him, age 21 (not possibly old enough for the Civil War) has a 6 in his column and a younger son has a 9??? If there is some numerical assignment system for this column, please let me know. I don't know what the 5 means. In case you would want to look for some type of numbering system he is located at the following: 1910 U.S. Census, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, Enumeration District 122, Ward 8, Precinct D, Sheet 3A, Image 5. Columbus has 8 pages of enumeration districts. If you select page 5 you will see Enum. Dist. 122 and it is image 5. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
