Dear Jody: My cousin Jim Obert has been having trouble keeping the website up and running; why? I don't know. Anyway, if you are related to the Obert's and Meyer's we are kin. The first generation in America was Leopold Meyer, born Rust Baden December 11, 1826-died Prairie Twp., Franklin County January 22, 1908 and Cresentia Obert, born Rust Baden June 3, 1832-died Prairie Twp. December 12, 1903. They had 12 children, 11 of whom had descendants. Do these names ring a bell? Also, if they do, or if you are not sure, can you provide me with your Meyer ancestry as far back as you know it? I can check my records and see if you fit into this family.
