I believe that he was born in 1912 or 1913 in Columbus, OH. I have contacted the vital statistics office in Franklin County and they do not have a record of birth for him on file, so I am unsure if he was actually born in Ohio. I am fairly certain that he died in the early to mid 1980's in Franklin county (this is based on family stories). Thank you for any help! Hello I see that Smith is one of the names on your list. What names and dates do you have for that? My maternal Grandmother was the daughter of Hannah (Wood) and Jackson Smith of Groveport, Franklin Co., Ohio. Hannah was from "Franklin Co, Ohio. Her parents were John Wood and Elizabeth Patrick. Of the 9 children of Jackson and Hannah Smith, the first 3 were born in Groveport: Oliver, Flora and Charles. The other 6 were all born in Columbus Grove, Putnam Co, Ohio--including my Grandmother, Lulu M. Smith m. Reynolds. Jackson Smith was born June 20, 1842. He had an older brother, Adam Smith born July 25, 1840. Their father was William Smith, born in Licking Co,(?) Ohio. His wife was Jane Hanover. Is any of this familiar to you?
