He would only show up if he had already died. You said his exwife was still living so maybe he is also. I looked at www.whitepages.com for a Cleveland Brown there are so many to choose from in every state it would take you forever to sort through them. You could check for a divorce back in the 1950's in what ever county you believe they were living then. Even if he left her and didn't come back she still would most likely have filed for a divorce sometime later. I know that won't help you find him now. Good luck Lindsey

Hi. I'm intrigued by your story, albeit I don't know what it's about. I just went thru the social security number thing. If BROWN did not collect any SSI benefits, he won't show up on the SSDI. If you are related, take his death cert to a SS office and tell them why you want it and see if they'll give the number to you, etc. Take your ID too. It worked for me. Good luck. -----Original Message----- From: CHERYL CAMPBELL [mailto:auntsherry@prodigy.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 10:43 PM To: OHFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Suggestion...Re: [OHFranklin] Cleveland Brown Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to find the month and day and place of her death. She committed suicide. She had left her husband, Grant and I don't know where she was living at the time of her death. She didn't die in Mich. her place of birth, as I've had a search of their death records. She doesnt show in Ohio in 1926 in those death records under her married name Nash. In Fairview cemetery she's buried next to Grant and listed as Katherine S. Nash and the year 1926. I did find a Katherine Scherer who died in 1926 in Franklin County and wonder if that is her and Grant buried her under his name. Is there a way I can find out without buying the death certificate if it's her? Fairview Cemetery lost the records of those burials in a fire so I can't find out thru them. She was born in 1875 in Det. Mich. and her maiden name was Scherrer but it is sometimes spelled Scherer. Her pare! nts names were Daniel and Anna. Any help or direction in my brick wall would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fran
If he is dead there should be a Social Security listing for him. All of the last 5 years are not yet listed but, before the past 5 years, if he passed, he should be in there. Perhaps Vital Statistics would have a death record. Also, check the telephone directory. God be with you in your search. Each "No" is one step closer to the "Yes"! These results are from the SSD index on Rootsweb.com Not as an unusual name as one would think. Total number of men is 150. When you narrow down birth year to 1920 it comes up with 5 men. So you may need to narrow down birth year and month even more. Results 1 thru 5 of 5 Name Birth Death Last Residence Last Benefit SSN Issued Tools Order Record?
