    2. Diane Kessinger
    3. Does anyone know what township the current day Linden area is located in and would this township name have been the same in the mid to late 1800's. My GGGrandfather (b. 1884) told family (Around 1950ish) that when he was a boy his father (who was born in 1843) once owned land in what was then (and possibly still) called the Linden area, somewhere "between the railroad tracks (???) and the river (Scioto ???)". I'm trying to find out what township this Linden area would have been located in with this limited information. Just looking for a place to start and the township where this Linden was or is located would likely be a good place to start - I'm guessing. Any suggestions would be Great. Thanks.

    3. Cheryl, I am carbon copying this to the list to answer you question. The Twenty Microfilms from Green Lawn are actually not in alphabetical sequence nor are they strictly by family plots or single interments. Besides all the misspellings of the surnames, I would not be able to tell you if all the D's are in the database. As an example, I have found the name Sells/Sell on three different films. I'm no longer changing films to answer question. I put a film on the reader and start from the beginning and keep that film until it is done. Many times I have to request the obit (if it is available) to figure out dates and correct spelling of names. Joyce Robinson, Leona Gustafson and Mary Holland are really helping in that area. Hope this helps answer some of the questions. Your list had several Dill's I have been looking for. Until your update, I was unaware of this list. Do you have all of the D's listed? I am trying to locate Walter Page Dill. His father was William Augustus Dill, who is on your list. I don't know Walter's date of death but I think it may be somewhere around 1951, give or take a year or too. Again, thank you very much for your hard work. 3. Hello Sallie; If you have gen. books that you have bought and used and need no more and want to sell them, do you mean that we should then give these books back to the writer; or a surname member of the surname of the book????? Sometimes if not wanted they would be nice in your local Gen. Library or LDS lib, rather than throwing away . I would think if you didn't sell it after your use is not needed anymore , as the cost of Gen. books and materials have climbed ridiculously high then your throwing away money you could further use for research.. Several reprint books I bought both for abt 60.00 in 1988 are now 1 of them selling for 175.00 the other for over 100.00. They were originally printed in 1881 and 1889 and writer has long since passed on. I bought them from a reprint place, of old out of printing, place in Md. in 1988. I have many other's of gen. info and surname books I have got from sales of Library's and Yard sales and bought with some of my own family in them and vitals and State/County books etc. Are you saying we should find a previous owner of a surname person that is in the book and give it to them??? I should think that we should if possible, try to recoup some of our funds we spent so we could carry on with our Genealogy research. Maybe I have misunderstood your message. willma@sprynet.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sallie L Nelson" <gentenmawps@juno.com> To: <OHFRANKL-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 2004 1:23 PM Subject: Re: [OHFranklin] 1890 Civil War census > I am sorry but I think it is horrible that someone makes money on EBay > from other peoples family history. > > If I find anything I GIVE it to those it belongs to.
