Michael, I'm planning to be at the library tomorrow. I'll get the obituraries and see if there are additional related articles. Best wishes, Leona ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Sellers" <zeller.sellers@yahoo.com> To: <OHFRANKL@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 14, 2010 5:20 PM Subject: [OHFRANKL] Charles King/Murder-Suicide I am looking for any and all details surrounding the following: On March 13, 1944, Charles King, 55, murdered his wife, Ruth Annette (Ford), 53, at their home on Rhoads Avenue in Columbus. Ruth's death certificate states that she died of a "Gunshot wound to the brain". After murdering Ruth, Charles then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. I have searched for additional details but have come up empty. I do not know any of the details surrounding what occurred in terms of why Charles did it. I'd appreciate any info about what took place including a news article, obituary, etc. Thanks in advance for the help! Michael Sellers

I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Anny ALRIDGE which was taken at the Montrose Studio in Columbus, Ohio. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Anny likely in her 20's at the time it was taken. The photograph was recovered with another photograph taken at the same studio and identified as that of Frank STEVENS. I've no idea if they are related or how they might be connected, but I mention it just in case there is a connection. Based on limited research I was able to locate census information including a possible match as follows: 1910 census of Columbus, OH: James A. ALDRIDGE, age 32, married 8 years, born KY, parents born KY, a Railway Electrical Engineer Anna ALDRIDGE, wife, age 29, married 8 years, 1 child/1 living, born KY, parents born KY Hollis ALDRIDGE, son, age 6, born OH 1920 census of Madison, OH: James A. ALDRIDGE, age 43, born KY, parents born KY, a Power Plant Engineer Anna L. ALDRIDGE, wife, age 38, born KY, parents born KY Hollis ALDRIDGE, son, age 15, born OH I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
