My ancestors Andrew and Eleanor Jenkins were born in Virginia and moved to Fayette County in the early 1830s. The had one daughter, Martha J. born about 1836, we have no other info about her. Another daughter, Edith married John S. Rumer in 1851 in Fayette County. Other siblings included Andrew, Aletha, Henry, Sarah, Peter, Elizabeth, and Rachel. Their name also appears as Genkins sometimes. Could be a connection?
