    2. Yes there is such a place as Washington Court House. Its the county seat of Fayette Co, Ohio. Finding places where our ancestors lived is very important. I find that a Rand MCNally map book is invaluable in doing your research. We have been doing genealogy for over 20 years and we wear out a Rand McNally about every 2 years from use. Whenever I teach anyone or a class to do genealogy I always suggest to them to get one. Its one of the best inexpensive investments that you can use. Joan

    2. Andrew Peters
    3. Posted on: Fayette Co. Oh Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Oh/Fayette/58 Surname: WALTERS, FANNY ------------------------- Greetings! I am trying to track down information on some of my Walters ancestors. My great grandfather was Carl W. WALTERS, b. 11/14/1891 in Fayette County, Ohio; d. 12/29/1919 in Columbus, Ohio; m. Catherine Elizabeth GARRITY. There is some confusion on the names of his parents; different vital records list different names. His father is either R. D. WALTERS, Dow A. WALTERS, or Julius WALTERS (or some combination of these names?!), born Feb. 1848. His mother was Lucinda FANNY (or perhaps FARNEY), born Jan. 1852. Their other children (Carl W.'s siblings) include Howard (b. 1885), Jesse (b. 1890), and Nellie (b. 1893). This information is per the 1900 US Census for Fayette Co., Ohio.
