I have been told that Catherine Crumley Mooney is buried at the Walnut Creek Cemetery in Fayette County and that she died on December 28, 1857. I presume that the date comes from her tombstone, but I am not sure. Is there a list of cemetery transcriptions for Walnut Creek? Does her stone give a birth date or an age at death? Is her husband, James Mooney, also buried at Walnut Creek? When did he die? James was Catherine's second husband, her first having been John Eyre.
I am looking for any information on the above surnames from Fayette County, Highland County and Clinton County Ohio. I am just beginning this journey into my past and have little information to go on. I really would like to find the parents of John David Curtin, who married Minnie Margaret Bainter on October 3, 1886, in Fayette County. If anyone has any information on this line, I sure would appreciate it if you would pass it on to me. Thanks so much! Grits1944(GirlRaisedInTheSouth)! Ellen Curtin Wong(Napa County, CA)
My great grandmother was Minnie Margaret Bainter. I have little information on her. She married John David Curtin October 3, 1886 in Fayette County, Ohio. I have just started tracing my ancestry and any information you may have would be hepful. Thanks, Ellen Curtin Wong
I know that Fayette, Clinton and Highland Cos. are close and share common borders. John Reed, married to Maria Simpson(I think), lived in Buena Vista, Green Twp. in the 1870 census. Their daughter, Mary A. married Alfred Green, 26 Feb 1891. They are my great grandparents. They had several children, of whom I have birth dates. Their daughter Myrtle Leona Estella Green was my grandmother. I am also looking for any information on Minnie Margaret Bainter. I have a picture of her. She married John David Curtin, 3 Oct 1886, Union Twp, Fayette County, Ohio. I would like any information you may have on Bainter, Reed, Simpson and Curtin. Thanks! Ellen Curtin Wong
