Dear Joyce and Larry, Thank you so much for finding that article. I'm not sure how that Jacob Stuter is related to my Jacob Stuter though. According to family history he died around 1849. 1850 and his wife Harriet went to work for John Bright on Havensport Road, Baltimore, OH which was Basil Ohio I believe. Her three children were farmed out to friends and relatives and then she married John Bright and brought her three children to work on the farm. Harriet married John Bright and had two daughters by John Bright. She is buried in the Bright cemetery on the property. Jacob Stuter was said to have died in Thurston but I can't find a grave, a death certificate. I did find land records and the 1840 census which shows him and Harriet together at that time. He has alluded me for years now, so he's my brick wall. If the article is my Jacob Stuter then he and Harriet were divorced before 1850 and a family secret would be uncovered. The descendants of the two daughters knew nothing and I shared with them. I even old pictures of the house on Havensport Road and I have visited Harriet's grave. I just can't believe I can't find anything else on Jacob. Thanks, Bonnie Morris Conrad Houston, Texas **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
