I looked for this information on the DAR members site. There is very little information but it states that future applicant need to prove dates of service. I has this John Perry's wife as Fanny Smith and his residence as Maryland. Has his birth as 1753 England, death 1790 Harford Co., Maryland and this applicant joined on their son Samuel whose wife was Elizabeth Ferrell. It shows his service was with Capt. Ewing, 1st Regiment. There is probably very little information due to the fact this applicants membership number is very low, which usually means this John Perry was a grandfather or great-grandfather and the very early applications required very little information as the DAR figured people knew their own grand or great-grandfather. I hope this helps but I'd say it will just frustrate you more since there is so very little information.
