    3. just an idea if you haven't yet....if she died the year of a census...you might find her on the mortality census for that year...might give you another clue to work off if she's on it.. happy hunting Heather In a message dated 04/03/08 09:28:02 Eastern Daylight Time, kstewardk@shaw.ca writes: Thanks so much, Rebecca, for taking time to check out the Amanda cemetery listings and respond. The fact that Louiza was not buried there is one more clue supporting the fact that she might be my gr-gr-grandmother... who is proven to be buried in Groveport. Interesting to note that Eliza White died the same year as the Census was taken. Since the Census record says that Louiza was infirm, I wonder how they managed after that - perhaps 19-year old Olive White had her hands full.... Thanks also for the source to use for death records - I will follow up on that right away! There is not listing for Louiza Javis/Garris,etc. being buried in that township in the book Cemeteries of Amanda Twp. However Eliza & William W. are listed in Amanda Township Cemetery: Wm. W. White d 11 Nov 1880 aged 77y 10m 1d Eliza, White wife of William, died 20 July 1870, aged 61y 13d If there is a death record it would be at: Fairfield County Probate Court Hall of Justice, 224 E. Main St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 740-687-7090 Good luck! 3. Thanks for the suggestion, Heather - but Louisa Gares died in either 1873 or 1875, so no listing for her on the Mortality Schedule for 1870. I did get lucky with regards to her husband though -he died in June, 1859 and was on the Mortality Schedule for the 1860 Census, so I do know that that source is a good one to check out!
