I don't have much about the Fasts, but I have a Sam Fast marrying my 2 great aunt Clara Creiglow and living in London OH. Clara Creiglow Fast was born Jan 3 1862 and I have their children and his occupation as well as my grandmother Marie Creiglow Bigham's recollections of them. Let me know if you want that information. Lynn: Thanks for your message! I think we may have a connection here. I have a Samuel Fast b. 15 Aug 1856 who died 3 Sept. 1947. His death certificate shows that he was the son of Philip Fast and Susanna Funk (my ancestors) and his widow's name is given as Clara. A Harold Fast was the informant on the death certificate. Samuel died at his home which was at 287 S. Harris Ave., Columbus, Ohio and he was 91 years old. Phillip, Samuel's father, was 97 when he died. Some of these Fast men seemed to live very long lives. Samuel was buried in Union Cemetery but the death certificate doesn't say where that cemetery is located. I would be happy to receive any information you have on Clara and Samuel and their children including your grandmother's recollections. Did they have a son named Harold? Also, I would like to get an obituary for Samuel. Do you know of anyone else who might be connected to Samuel Fast? I look forward to hearing back from you.
