I recently discovered there might be a link of one of my Darke Co, OH families to a family of Fairfield Co, OH. In the Biography Records of Fairfield Co, OH by S J Clarke Pub Co 1902 there is an entry written by John Humberger, son-in-law of Frederick and Mary Elizabeth (Keister) Bashore who settled near Rushville, Richland Twp in 1803, coming from PA. Descendants of Frederick Bashore 1 Frederick Bashore b: January 30, 1764 PA d: 1829 Fairfield, OH .. +Maria Elizabeth KESTER/KEISTER b: September 02, 1758 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA d: Bef January 05, 1839 ......... 2 David Bashore b c1784 PA ......... 2 Elizabeth Bashore b: Bef 1784 PA ......... 2 Margaret Bashore b: January 27, 1794 PA ......... 2 John Bashore b: November 07, 1795 PA ......... 2 Frederick Bashore b: September 25, 1800 PA Maria Elizabeth Kester/Keister is the daughter of John George Kester/Keister b c1728 d 1795 Hartley Twp, Northumberland, PA (now Union Co, PA John George Kester is my husband's 4th gr-grandfather. I believe this John George was born in Germany but we haven't been able to establish his parentage.
