>In Fairfield County; I'm researching the family lines of Rabe, >McAnespie, and Shull. My tree has bumped into Mock, Ochs, Pairan, >Steiner, Falluter, Whiley/Wiley, and Hamilton. Re: SHULL, and HAMILTON First: I have Fairfield/Hocking co connections w Shull/Hamilton I've been exploring with only mild success. my ggfather Baxter M SHAW m Asenath GRIMM, d/o Noah GRIMM & Nancy HAMILTON his brother Joseph Newton SHAW m Elizabeth HAMILTON, d/o David HAMILTON & Mary LECRONE his sister Elizabeth Ann SHAW m Samuel SHULL b Ohio c1844 - I have names of their 7 Scholl children including Simeon Scholl, who married his cousin Vinnie Shaw (All these Shull & Hamilton's were born or lived much of their lives in Fairfield County, Ohio) Do you know anything about any of these? [I'm particularly interested in Samuel Shull's background, and where Simeon & Vinnie ended up (they had moved back to Columbus, Ohio from Colorado, by 1939] Second: For the next week I'll have a copy of John William Scholl's large 1930 "Scholl, Sholl, Shull Genealogy" the colonial branches. (It's on ILL, so I have to get it back promptly.) It's 800+ pages, indexed, and seems both extensive and in the branches he found of particular interest, rather well researched. Heavy focus on the family in Pennsylvania, but follows Solomon Shull's descendents into Fairfield & then Franklin county (he notes that it seems only some Ohio Scholl branches picked up the Shull spelling, though they weren't particularly consistent about it.) If you have any particular names you'd like me to check, I'd be happy to [though don't expect speed...I'll be out of town for the next couple of days] Bert Shaw, Portland OR
