Does anyone have any information on the surname CUSHMAN in Fairfield Co.? Mt g-g-grandfather's sister, Lucinda CUSHMAN was in Fairfield Co. from about 1838 (age 6) to about 1850 (age 18). She married in Wyandot Co. in 1850. A Wyandot Co. History write-up on her husband, George NIGH, states that Lucinda came from Fairfield Co. to Wyandot Co. with friends. Lucinda was orphaned in 1838 in Ashtabula Co.. I believe she was either taken in by friends of the family or another family member. There was a LaFayette CUSHMAN in Fairfield in 1850 (Census Record). He may have been an older brother or cousin of Lucinda. I hope to find some information on Lucinda's parents, and hence info on my g-g-grandfather (Amariah Fenton CUSHMAN).
