Thanks to Carol for the lead....The University of Michigan's "Making of America" on-line library contains a work entitled "Historical Collections of Ohio", 636 pages published in 1851. It is fascinating, county by county description of the people, geography and history of the state. Six pages are dedicated to Fairfield County and include historical images and a terrifying account of an Indian attack. Good Stuff!
