I have not seen it on this list yet. 1) The following URL leads to the Bureau of Land Management, General Land Office (GLO) Records Automation web site. "This site provides live database and image access to more than two million federal land title records for the Eastern Public Land States, dating back to 1820. This site offers researchers a source of information on the initial transfer of land title from the federal government to individuals. Dewalt MECHLIN(G) received a patent in Jan. 1770, obtaining several more pieces of land after that. Dewalt served as an ensign in the 8th Continental Line of PA Regulars from Westmoreland Co. (John) Jacob MECHLIN(G), his brother, acquired Westmoreland Co. land in Apr. 1774. He serve as a Captain of the 4th Battalion of the PA Militia from Westmoreland Co. Many of their descendants are still in Westmoreland Co. and surrounding counties today, while others went on to Ohio.
