    3. Since so many of the people who came to Fairfield County came through Virginia here are the rootsweb mailing lists for VA. Virginia mailing lists GERMANNA_COLONIES-L --A mailing list established primarily for descendants of the Germanna Colonies (i.e., the original German settlements in Virginia under Governor Spotswood; there were three colonies established, the first being in 1714).
