Does anyone have history of Fairfield County's Toby Town and early settlers of that area? I am under the impression that my William Brown & family arrived in the Toby Town area in 1799 with Wilkinson Lane, Horatio Clark and Cole families out of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. November 14, 1805 William Brown obtained 320 acres in todays Section 23 of Pickaway County (then Franklin County). Fall 1806 they moved west into then Franklin County just west of Fairfield County line in todays Walnut Twp. of Pickaway County. ANY INFO ON TOBY TOWN OR MY BROWN'S WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
