    3. Hi, I am looking for information on where to look in Fairfield county for early records for New Reading (originally Overmeyerstettle near Somerset). Specifically I am looking for information when my family lived there in circa 1808 to circa 1817. They were German Reform. This area is now in Perry county, but during this time period it was part of Fairfield. I have not been able to find any reference to them owning land in the area (I've seen the deed indexes on Microfilm at Salt Lake City) but strongly suspect that the Samuel Zeigler who is shown on a list of voters in New Reading from c. 1816-1817 is my Samuel Zeigler (right before the family moved up to Richland County). I would like to take a trip to this area, but would like some suggestions on where to concentrate my efforts (I would probably have only one business day when most things would be open). Specifically, I would appreciate anyone who would have ideas of who might have German Reform (or possibly Lutheran) records in this area at this time (3 of Samuel's kids were born "near Somerset" between 1808 and 1815). Or anyplace else that might be fruitful in my search. (The family originally came from Switzerland in c1805 and I'd love to know where they were from 1805 to 1808 and if they were naturalized). Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, - Mike White mdwhite@ucdavis.edu
