John W. Scholl's massive _Scholl-Sholl-Shull Genealogy - The Colonial Branches_, Grafton Press, New York, NY (1930) is a very useful tool for those studying this family line. While it features a name index, it does not have a location index. While looking for possible connections to my family tree, I wrote down the name, birthdate, deathdate, and page number of every Shull/Scholl listed in this book who resided, for any length, in Fairfield County. I can e-mail an ASCII-text, comma-delimited file to anyone of interest. Just make a request to paulr@blind.state.ia.us BTW, I am still looking for Emma Shull (1847-1907), who first appears in Fairfield County in the 1870 census and married my gr-gr-grandfather, Charles Rabe, two years later. Her obituary says she was born in Sugar Grove, but I have completely frustrated in finding any mention of her in any Shull family in Fairfield County in the 1860 or 1850 census, or in the records of Trinity/Sponagle Lutheran Church (where every OTHER Shull seems to be from!). Her 1907 obituary also lists three sisters in KANSAS, and OHIO siblings Mary Kull (wife of Lewis) and Louis Shull; but these facts have not helped me a bit. The obituary may have mistakenly referred to Louis, the brother of Susan Catherine Shull. Cathy married Charles' brother, William Rabe!
