I am quoting from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and belief this reflects the feelings of most parishes and diocese - "All general Genealogy requests received by a parish are to be forwarded to the Archives for a repy. HOwever, parish may do there only genelogy research. A researcher is NEVER to be given direct access to the sacramental registers; all research MUST be done by a staff person. The parish may also charge whatever fee they consider reasonable for this service" As you can see - OGS could not get into the records except by act of God. Sorry, no can do.
