    3. I must have missed something somewhere..am I understanding correctly that the Fairfield Library might be willing to find and copy an obit? For what time periods?? I have been unable to find a death record for Charles E. Karnes (died in early 1909) or his father, George Grov Carnes or Karnes, who died sometime after 1895 and was living in Landcaster. I feel sure he must have had an obit as he had been a long time school teacher in the area. I was under the understanding that death records were maintained at the Ohio Dept of Health from Dec 1908 on, but just had my check returned with a letter stating that from Dec 1908-1945 the records would be in the local Dept of Vital Statistics??? The microfilm for this period at the OH Hist.Center in Columbus was unreadable. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Sandra in TX
