You might want to check the surrounding ones. Also, I have had the name "Mary" listed as "Polly" (which I never have figured out... but then I never understood why "Jack" was a nickname for "John"). I have also had people listed by middle names, so you might also keep an eye out for that. As for the 1850 census, she may not have been listed depending upon the date the census was taken. While census forms say 1850, the census year was actually from July 1, 1849 to June 30, 1850 (and can be off by more than that in a few rather rare instances). Also, depending upon where you got her birth information, it too could be off by a couple of years. I have a number of cases where tombstones and death certificates have the wrong birth date. In fact, my g-g-grandfather Solomon Zeigler seemed to have forgotten he was born in 1842 as by around 1880, he was listing 1840 as his birth date. Of course, as long as I am exhausting possibilities, I have seen ages on censuses wrong a number of times. Anyway, if I happen to see anything on your Mary, I'll try to let you know.
