Mike, Yup, headstones can show up in the weirdest places. Rumor has it that when one of the farms up in Richland County, OH was sold to a Mennonite family it was discovered that the basement floor was made up of old headstones from one of the two known "missing" cemeteries (one no one is sure ever existed... may have been an error on a early map... the other, the owner of the land was known to have pulled up the headstones and plowed the field - many, many years ago). No one seems to know what happened to these after the sale. I think it is felt that it would not be polite to ask about such an unusual subject. Still, I always wonder if one of my missing ancestors may have been in the group.
