Responding to email from: p-dclary@sota-oh.com Thank you for responding to my FAIRFIELD-L posting. It seems ... absolutely certain that your information on Richard Poling's descendents will help me sort out "who's who" among the Fairfield/Hocking/Perry county Polings. The area seems to have descendents of bros Samuel, Richard, and Martin B [my folks] at least. It sounds like by FAR the best way to make sense of the Ohio Polings is to depend on those who are still in the area. It looks like there are a couple of people in Phillipi, WV who have the WV Polings by heart, so I'm finally pretty well convinced that I will not only get that part of my family correct, but probably find out enough to fill out the "family history" from that era as well. Very reassuring - for what seemed for a time to be hopeless. I'm very happy to know about the Mathias-Poling reunion. I know I won't be able to visit the area then [are distant-distant cousins invited?], but I have been thinking of visiting Bremen/Logan in the next year or so, and it would seem ideal to come during a reunion. Thanks again -- Bert Shaw
