    3. Hello FF Rooter's WOW !!!!! How active this list has become in a week. I'm sorry I went on vacation and was forced to sign-off. Therefore, I'm just getting into the end of the discussion. I agree with those doing genealogy on a budget. To buy a book or CD, with the "hope" of finding that ancestor and finding that you have preformed an exercise in futility and spent money to do it. Though I have never used free look-up service yet! It is a service needed and if advertises books, pamphlets, or organizations so be it. At least you know what you need and value is there. Ever buy a pair of shoes with out trying them on? Enough said, now back to genealogy. I just purchased a book of New England Marriages prior to 1700 by Torrey because many of my ancestors are listed. This may not have much to do with Fairfield genealogy because migration pattens of New Englanders migrated to nothern Ohio. But if like my Fairfield ancestors moving north during the depression, looking for employment and marrying a northerner as mine did, I may be help someone with New England connection, if they have gotten back that far.
