I would like to take this opportunity to explain to all those subscribed to the list that I (or the society) was not chastising anyone for offering lookups. We decided that this would be a good opportunity to try and make everyone aware of our situation. Suggestions & comments are always welcome! I sent a message to Virginia with what I thought was an explanation that the society is not upset with her and that we were just trying to make everyone aware of our position. There was never any intention to hurt or upset anyone on this list. It pleases me to hear that those on the list are supporting each other (as genealogists I hope we will all stick together).
