Rebecca Huddle, I have a John W. Carnes who married a Julia (Zula Bright on Oct 16, 1878 in Fairfield county and they are buried there in Lancaster, OH I believe. I also found this in the 1880 census: Ohio Fairfield, Carrdll 0056 John W Carnes Husband W 56 Ohio 00770421 0076 Wife Zula B 55, Ohio Son Nial H 17, Ohio Let me know if these dates are in your timeframe?
