There was a Darst family who settled in MO, raised several children, one of whom was named Jacob. He brought his family to Texas and died fighting in the Alamo. I'm not sure where the Darst family moved to MO from. His mother was a Holman, a sister to my 3rd great grandmother Rachel Holman who married James Oliver.
