Good evening, Margaret: There is a way to 'trick' the datelines on some of these obituaries. I just checked and was able to do it with Lancaster. IF you go into today's obits, then if you look up in the 'address' line, you will see something like "news/stories/20040624/obituaries' which gives you the year, month, day. When you first highlight that line, then, release it and put your curser arrow just to the right of the '06', do a backspace and change it to '04' which would give you April 24, 2004 in this case. I'm not sure exactly how far back you can do it, but I've gone back at least several months that way somnetimes when I'd learned that I missed someone's obit on the local papers. Otherwise, most of thenm will only allow you to 'backdate' about a week or so. I decided to just go ahead and post this on the OhFairfield list so others will also be able to use this. Good luck, Ronna (Eyman) Eagle ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marguerite Crist Calvin" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, June 24, 2004 6:08 PM Subject: [OHFAIRFI-L] Eagle Gazette obit archives > I could not see an archive list for obits in the Lancaster Eagle > Gazette. do they not archive them?
