    2. I am a researcher who does a lot of work in Ohio and Missouri and I thought you might like to know that the pioneers for a little town in Missouri were the Chism family. I don't know if there is a connection or not but they are buried in Versailles Cemetery. John Langdon Chism B:Mar 23, 1805 d:Aug 12, 1855 Versailles Cem wife Priscilla Howard Chism b:Oct 25, 1783 d:1860 Chism cem. Versailles 1st I assume she was moved also. Jacob Chism b:Jan 22, 1782 d:Jun 5, 1857 Chism farm bur assm. There are also quite a few African American Chism in this area because these Chism's brought slaves with them to Missouri. I hope this is a connection for you. It pays to look in the states that migration from TN, KY, VA, NC were going to.
