Wallace of Granville Street, Pataskala, and within a few minutes her soul had gone to that bourne whence no traveler e'er returns. Mrs. Mason had been with her daughter for the past three weeks and apparently was in good health. On Sunday her son Frank and family were here and spent the day with her which visit she greatly enjoyed. She expressed herself as feeling well and was animated in her conversation and seemingly enjoyed talking of "old times" in Etna. Mrs. Mason had spent a restful night and had just seated herself at the breakfast table about 7:15 Monday morning and had been served by her daughter who had turned again to the stove, when she suddenly placed her hand at the back of her neck and exclaimed "O, Ada!" and became unconscious. Dr. Bell was summoned but the patient was beyond any earthly help and expired a few minutes later. Deceased was in her 82nd year and was the widow of the late Wm. E. Mason of Etna who died in 1897. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Mary McVey an invalid now living with her brother at Etna, Mrs. Ada Wallace of Pataskala, Frank of Columbus and William of Etna. Mrs. Mason was a lady of kindly disposition and deeds and was greatly beloved by all who knew her. The body was taken to her home in Etna on Tuesday from where the funeral was held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon and interment made in the Etna Cemetery by Vinton D. Morrow.
