Sherman House Garden Party, June 12 at 5:30 at the Sherman House Gardens in Lancaster, Ohio Guests will be entertained by three generations of women in the Sherman family as they present "The Softer Side of Cump-Mary, Ellen and Minnie" at the fourth annual Sherman House Garden Party, sunday, June 12 at 5:30. Appearing in period dress, Mary Hoyt Sherman (the general's mother), Ellen Ewing Sherman (his wife) and Minnie Sherman Fitch (his oldest daughter) will share stories of their lives with General William Tecumseh Sherman. Portraying the Sherman women will be Donna Lawrence as Mary, Ellen cox as Ellen and Beth Craft as Minnie. In the beautiful garden setting at the historic Sherman House, 137 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio there will be live Civil War music by Sarah Mullins of Norwich, Ohio and hors d'ouevres beginning at 5:30. The dinner, featuring grilled brats and burgers and homemade main dishes, desserts and beverages prepared by the Sherman House Steering committee, will begin at 6:15. Seating is limited so advance reservations are required.
