In her 1941 book "Early History of Truby-Graff and Affiliated Families", Mary Truby Graff records John Truby (born about 1742) and my ancestor Christopher Truby (born 1736) as brothers--sons of Christopher Truby (1701-1753) and Maria Catharine Truby (1702-?). That information is on page 1. On page 67, she states that "The Tochicken Church record gives the birth and baptism March 25, 1765, of John Christopher Truby, son of John Truby and wife Esther; sponsored by John Christopher Truby (uncle). Shortly after this John with his wife and family moved into the colony of Virginia as proven by the will of Eleanor Jones written in 1773 in which she leaves five pounds to her "Friend and neighbor in Hilltown, Hester, wife of John Truby, now residing in the Colony of Virginia." The Tochicken Church was near Hilltown, Bucks Co. PA. There's more information about this family at Shirley Hornbeck's site-- http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~hornbeck/hsrc/whornbeck/fam03401.htm. Descendants of the Westfalls, Stalnakers, and Cutrights live in Randolph, Upshur and surrounding counties in West Virginia. An internet search of those names and counties can help you find more descendants of John & Esther Truby. Good luck!
