Can you tell who in Julia's family is buried there? She had three children; Sarah (Taft) and Emma Francis (Sherrard) and Charles Boyer. I have Sarah and Emma's line but have lost Charles. When Julia married Eli Clark Charles was living near by as a teen. Then I loose him. Seems there was another Charles aprox. the same age in Brownsville, Licking County. I searched his line only to discover he was not my Charles. My Charles disappears as did his father. Licking County gave me the death info on Julia but a search of the papers and cemeteries have been fruitless. I have put much time into her and Charles but have dead ends. My Farrow line was from Md in the late 1700's. Funny how the names follow, there may be a connection some day. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Karen, Thank you so much for all the work you did. This doesn't appear to be my Sarah Beery. My Sarah Beery was b abt 1846 to Samuel Beery & Ann Jones. I believe Ann had previously been married to Samuel Matlack. A Nancy Jones m Samuel Matlack in 1823. Mrs. Ann Matlack m Samuel Beery in 1840 in Fairfield. Samuel Beery was a merchant in Lancaster. He was in the dry goods, then the grocery business. They are listed on the 1850 census in Lancaster with a son Charles, age 6, and and a son Lawrence 5/12. Sarah is not listed on this census, but appears in 1860. In 1860 they are still in Lancaster with Charles 16, Sarah 14, and Lawrence, 10. Ellen Elder, school teacher, and Margaret Brown, domestic servant are also in their household. By 1870 Samuel is deceased. Ann is the head of household, and Lawrence age 20 is living with her. Also living with her is Ann's mother Margaret Jones, age 98. Margaret's obit identifies Ann Beery as her daughter. By 1880 Ann is living with her son Charles in Chillicothe,Ross Co., OH. Charles is 40, a telegraph operator, has a wife Josephine, and his mother Ann Beery age 74 is living with him. Also in the household is Josephine Snyder, 5, niece, and a domestic servant. I lose Charles after 1880; Lawrence after 1870; Ann after 1880; and Sarah after 1860. Samuel Beery d in 1867. He was b abt 1800 in VA. Ann Jones Beery is the dau of John and Margaret Hollenback Jones. She, too, was b in VA. John Jones was living and signed a deed in 1827 but is not on the 1830 census. Margaret Hollenback Jones was b abt 1771 in VA [probably Hampshire Co.] and d in June 1870 in Lancaster, Fairfield Co., OH at the home of her dau Ann Beery. I don't know if this family is part of the Beery family detailed in the Beery book. Thank you so much for trying to help me! The Latter Day Saints' CD # 7 only read, " submitter by a member of the LDS after 1991." To me it appears that the information is coming from the Burrier side of the family. The submitter had info as to Eli's mother birth, death, and burial. Your Eli and Julia Connor's marriage info came from the Franklin County, Ohio records. As my line crosses the Boyers so many times, and I can place my mother's line and this family in Maryland in 1821, Ohio in 1825, and 2 of James and Hester Miller Fife's children were in the same Iowa county in 1876, I think they are connected in some way. Also the Burrier Family and the Fife's were living in Carroll and Columbiana Countries near each other at the time of James Fife's death in 1838. Hope this help solve your mystery. 3. From: Nedra Dickman Brill ndbrill@comcast.net Since we are discussin the Beery Family-- In 1850 and 1860 Fairfield County John and Elizabeth Berry had in their residence a Catharine Deeds. A patron submitted their marriage to the IGI on 11 February 1830 as John Berry and Elizabeth Hadden. However, the original record in the Fairfield County Marriages on this date is for John Bery or Beery (one spelling in margin, another in the record) and Elizabeth Madden, not Hadden. I am interested in identifying Catharine Deeds and the wife Elizabeth. Hi, Nedra: "Beery Family History" p. 73 shows John A. Beery b. July 19, 1795 m. Magdalena Huber; 2 c; m. Eli's mother died 9-28-1876 in Farmington, Van Buren, Iowa. It appears that this info came from a relative of the Mother, Sarah Burrier Boyer, as it list her place and time of death. 1. [OHFAIRFI] Reminder FTDNA Summer Sale ends Sept 30
    2. Tom & Marjie Evans
    3. Family Tree DNA, has extended their "Sizzling Summer Sale" to Sept. 30th. You still have plenty of time to join the Ridenour YDNA Project. For that matter "all" FTDNA Surname projects are included. If you know of anyone interested in doing their dna or mtdna send this on. Have them go to the FTDNA website and see if there is a project with their surname. Costs of tests are built into the pricing on each projects join page. If you would like more info on that email me. Cost of tests are built into the pricing, you can join the Ridenour project on the following page: https://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.aspx?code=N11143&special=True&projecttype=S Any questions about the costs email me theme@windstream.net The Ridenour Project Results are at: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/RidenourY=DNASurnameProject Click on "Results" tab and you will find information on the participants lineage. Click on the "Y-Results" tab and you can compare their results.

    3. Laura, - "David Young was born in Berks County, Pa, a son of John Young. He married Elizabeth Stout, born Fairfield County a daughter of Isaac Stout, and she died on the home farm in Amanda Twp. Parents of: Eli, David, Simon, Ellen, Rosanna, Joseph, Susan, Anna and Wilson , all of whom survive except Ellen and Rosanna..." p634 HISTORY OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY & REPRESENTATIVE CITZENS by Charles C. Miller, Richmond-Arnold Pub. Co., Chicago 1912 [p96 Stoutsville Clippings] - -11 May 1913 - Joseph YOUNG, son of David and Elizabeth YOUNG, was born 3 Oct. 1864 and died 11 May 1913, aged 48y 7m 8d. He was united in marriage to Ellen DEAN 5 Sept 1886. To this union were born 8 children, Elmer, Estella, Fanny, Cora, Blanche, Orpha, Arthur and Guy. All survive their father, except Orpha, who died 10 June 1903 in the third year of her age. The departed, after marriage, still lived in the home farm where he was born until the day of this death; hence he lived in the community in which he was born all his life. Here he labored for the good and comfort of his family and the welfare of his kind friends and neighbors until affliction came on him; and it was the Master's will to call him home. His life was one of industry and usefulness in the country in which he lived, and he was a kind and loving husband and father and much devoted to his family and loved by all. He leaves to mourn his departure a kind and loving wife, the 7 children herein mentioned, 8 grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends. .. Rebecca C.
