I haven't read it yet, but my Pickaway Co., OH quarterly arrived a couple of days ago. They published my article about Elizabeth Hollenback Bentley, along with my email address. I sure wish that someone would write to me about some part of that family. -----Original Message----- From: ohfairfi-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ohfairfi-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Robert L. Dick, Those are Primitive Baptist Church records. I know because I have communicated with Robert Webb for several years. My Ridings line in TN then to Schuyler Co., IL were members of the Primitive Baptist Church. He's been very active in trying to acquire and preserve that denomination's old church records. This is a link to the site that tells about the Fairfield Co. surnames. http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/FamHist-FairfieldOH .html -----Original Message----- From: ohfairfi-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ohfairfi-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Robert L. Just a note to say we are in the process of extracting names of members from copies of parts of the records of these two churches: for Pleasant Run from 1841 to 1964 (the oldest membership list includes many of the names of at least some of the members who joined before 1841), and for Walnut Creek from 1837 to 1892. I looked for this information on the DAR members site. There is very little information but it states that future applicant need to prove dates of service. I has this John Perry's wife as Fanny Smith and his residence as Maryland. Has his birth as 1753 England, death 1790 Harford Co., Maryland and this applicant joined on their son Samuel whose wife was Elizabeth Ferrell. It shows his service was with Capt. Ewing, 1st Regiment. There is probably very little information due to the fact this applicants membership number is very low, which usually means this John Perry was a grandfather or great-grandfather and the very early applications required very little information as the DAR figured people knew their own grand or great-grandfather. I hope this helps but I'd say it will just frustrate you more since there is so very little information.
