If you re-view the image the "M" in the word "SWAM" is not definite. And if you look and compare other lower case i's to the one in the possible "SWAIN" word, they look very similar. Because of that, I took a moment to look for a Georgia SWAIN and I found a Caleb and Margaret SWAIN who had several children in the 1880 Roseville, Muskingum Co., OH census -- and two of them were Georgia and John. In searching death info, I noticed there are several children listed as ch. of Caleb SWAIN and Margaret LENHART. At least two died in Fairfield Co., OH. (In 1900 Caleb and Margaret are in Perry Co., OH) Don't have time right now to look further, but that definitely might be something you'd want to investigate further. My husband's grandmother, Bertha (Ellinger) KLUMP would have attended school there circa 1893/94 and forward. I am sending it thru, but wasn't sure IF attachments would go thru this site. I removed the power lines from the photo; I rather doubt those would have been there back in late 1890's and forward. The original ELLINGER homestead was located east of the school on Pleasantville Road. Ronna Eyman Eagle Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The records of the Greene County Infirmary are in the regional archives at Wright State in Dayton. Perhaps try the archives that houses old records for Fairfield County. Are records available for The Thurston Primitive Baptist Church? I am looking for MCLAUGHLIN (and TURNER) ancestors there about 1840-1950. Thurston Primitive Baptist church is at the corner of State Route 256 and Old Millersport Road in Thurston, Ohio (Walnut Township, Fairfield County).
