Someone on the list may be able to check the Marriage Books published by The Fairfield County Chapter of The Ohio Genealogical Society. I am not sure how much of the information they included in the books. I have microfilm copies of the actual marriage books on indefinite loan and can look for you next Wednesday, but I can tell you that the information you are looking for won't be there. They did not give parents names in 1855. Even when one or both of them were not of legal age the Clerk just wrote things like "(Licence) Obtained by father", "written consent from father", etc. No names of parents! If your James and Susan moved to Missouri, then I found something that may help you. I had it all typed here (quite lengthy) and then I lost it! Hate when that happens! Any way, I have to leave at the moment. If that fits, I will retype it later. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. However, if your grandparents died after 1909, you should be able to obtain a death certificate for them. The death certificate, if filled out correctly, should tell you their parents names.
