    2. Noting the recent names for the rollcall, the following obit which appeared in The Advertiser-Tribune, Tiffin, Oh. (Seneca County) on Thursday, February 4, 1999, may be of interest. Many Fairfield County early residents migrated to the Wyandot/Seneca/Sandusky County areas in the 1830-40 time period. "Dorothy Lucile Bare, Homemaker/farmwife: Dorothy Lucile Bare, 86, formerly of Nevada and Bucyrus, where she had lived for five years before moving to Wooster, died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1999. in the Karrington of Wooster. She was born in Wyandot County, Aug. 28, 1912, to Amos Tilden and Mary (Scheff) Hite. On Aug. 17, 1937, in Frederick, Md., she married C. Richard Bare, who died Sept. 20, 1997. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Lou Bradley of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Arthur Dale Bare of Columbus and Wayne Allen Bare of Wooster; two sisters Effie Bibler and Mrs. Vernon (Vesta) Williams both of Westerville; and five grandchildren. Three brothers, Rollie, Marvin and Carl Hite and a sister, Ruth N. McCombs, are deceased. Mrs. Bare, a homemaker and farmwife, graduated from Marion Harding High School in Marion. A member of Nevada United Methodist Church since 1950 and its Missionary Society, she also was a member of Farm Bureau and S.E. 3 Farm Bureau Council. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading. Services in the Neveda UMC, will be 11 am Saturday, with the Rev. Beryl Baum officiating. Interment will be in Grand Prairie Cemetery, Marion. Memorials may be made to the church. Lucas Funeral Home, Nevada, is in charge of services." I am a descendent of Abraham and Hanna Hite, early Walnut Township residents. Their son, Isaac , moved to Jackson Township, Sandusky County in the 1830's. I continue to search for data on Abrahams father, Andreas Heid<Heydt>. Lynda Heilman

    1. Re: [OHFAIRFI-L] Roll Call: Harris Surname (and other nams by marriage)
    2. Hello! I am researching the Harris name of Lancaster. The Harris family was from Germany, and settled around 1830-1840 in Lancaster. Other names related to the Harris name by marriage: Coakley, Fisher, Schaeffer, Reed, Boadamer, Rushia, and Whitecamp, all from Lancaster. Beery and Stringfellow are names also tied to Louisa Harris (marriage), but I am not sure if they are also from Lancaster or not (possibly Springfield, OH.). Thank you! Lisa

    2. Karen... Can you tell me anything about a George B. Buffington that married a Margaret Rose in Fairfield Co. 1833. I'm pretty sure this is the same George Buffington that later lived in Ottawa Co., OH in 1840 & 1850. I believe Margaret Rose's father was Jacob Rose who married Mary Sennett/Sinft in Fairfield Co. in 1813. Does any of this sound familiar. Marg
