    1. [OHFAIRFI-L] missing manifests at Ellis Island
    2. Ruth Sprowls
    3. A couple years ago I found an article at ancestry.com regarding the ability to search thru ships manifests at Ellis Island. A Dr.Steve Morse has written a program that enables us to key in a month and year and manually read thru the ships manifests microfilmed at Ellis Island. It is fantastic. http://stevemorse.org is the URL Happy Hunting to all. Ruth Sprowls

    1. [OHFAIRFI-L] Fairfield property maps online
    2. Hank Cradduck
    3. The Fairfield County auditor has a site on line that lists properties but unlike Franklin county it does NOT include a map of the property; but all of the details such as a sketch of the residence, the value, taxes and owners etc. are available. Go to http://realestate.co.fairfield.oh.us . Type in the property owners name or do an address search. There is an excellent plat book for sale that shows large tracts in Fairfield County Ohio and the owner. The book can be purchased from the Fairfield Soil and Water Conservation District, 831 College Ave, Suite B, Lancaster Ohio, 43130, (740) 653-5320. They can also be ordered on line from http://platmaps.com . The on-line price on line is $15 plus P&H. They are cheaper at the Conservation Distrit office. It's published every few years and the latest is 2002. I have a copy of the latest so, if want me to look one up, just describe the property as best you can and I'll do my best. Hope this helps Hank Cradduck -----Original Message----- From: dhayes [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 8:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OHFAIRFI-L] property maps online Good evening..........was wondering if a site exists in Fairfield Co that has property maps online? Franklin Co has one on the auditors site. Thank you for your time! Linda

Mueller is a very common German name but there still could be a connection. I will let you know if I find any additional information that would connect them to your family. Also, I don't have a John Pletch in any of my records.

They came across from Germany in the 1840's to Newark, Nottinghamshire in England. On the same street lived a Muller family and other germans who must have came across on the same boat. I noticed a coincidence with the surnames on your family tree. I have a John Plitsch who vanishes and I always wondered if he may have gone to the states. Thanks Louise Sharpe [email protected]

    2. I thought I had sent a link that you could access, but I'll copy and paste the actual address. The last letter in the address, before .htm is the first letter of the last name, so change it to go to a different last name. This is the link to the M page. Change biom to bios for instance is you want to go to the S page. (Kathy, I didn't find any Raders on the R page.) http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~tfisher/fphfairfieldbiom.htm Ida If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it.

    2. Kathy, Do you know who Peter MILLER'S father was? The reason I ask: I have a Mary MILLER (born 1811 in Fairfield Co.). I have not been able to find out who her father was. I suspect Samuel MILLER, but I can't prove that. I thought maybe your Peter MILLER might be my Mary MILLER'S brother (or cousin). Velma
