There is a Joseph Eaton next door in Licking Co., but can't be right one as I see that on the 1840 census, Isaac has a 60-70 year old female in his household (b. 1770-1780) -if this is Joseph's widow, when and where did Joseph die? As for your infamous William HENSEL, I have searched high and low for him. I've got a bunch of HENSELs all put in my database now in order to try and sort them out. I've sent to the LDS site for the 1880 census and searched for any Hensel, Hensil, Hansel, etc., who was born about 1862 and none seem to match up to your William. I did the same thing at ancestry by searching the 1870 census for any Annishensel or Hensel, etc., and only females seem to be in that age bracket of your William -- at least in Fairfield county. The ONLY thing that I've found that comes close to your William Hensel is this: CENSUS: 1880 Liberty Twp., Fairfield Co., OH HENSEL, Martin 64y b OH, farmer, parents b Switzerland ", Barbara, wife 57y b Switzerland, keeping house, parents b Switzerland ", Henry, son 33y b OH ", Anna, dau 27y b OH ", Leah, dau 21y b OH ", Rachel, dau 19y b OH ", Ida S., dau 17y b OH ", Almedia, dau 15y b OH ", William, adopted son 6y b OH I double checked this particular census to see if Wm. was really listed as 6. Your Wm. would be about 18 in the 1880 census if he was truly born in 1862 which all census's from 1900 onward seem to indicate. It's just that the "adopted son" caught my eye and I thought it might be something to pursue or at least keep an eye on. There's a William Hensel b about 1862 in the Richland Twp., Marion Co., Ohio census. Parents listed are J. W. and Elizabeth. The "Marion County" kind of alerted me since for some reason he and his wife Dora remained in Columbus but sent their son Ora Lawrence Hensel to Marion, Marion Co., Ohio, and he resided with a JACKSON family and attended a school there. LOCATION: 1914 - "74 boys and girls, their ages ranging from 12-15, graduated at the twelfth and last annual Boxwell-Patterson commencement held in the High school auditorium this afternoon.     3. Would patrons please consider handling the increasing & vast personal exchanges privately, rather than posting many exchanges back & forth thru the entire mailing list?? Many of us have had to drop many other mailing lists because they recently have changed to huge personal exchanges and thank-yous etc., leading to so many E-mails, that it was not possible to delete them all, without spending hours each day. Suggestion: Leave each post to specific single or at the most two genealogical messages related to early research at that list [not like my son just graduated from high school, though we are all proud of that]. ALL other messages should be directed to the specific person interested.

I didn't see an 'Arthur, but he may never have existed. Now something is strange. Samuel died in the Civil War Nov 22, 1862, he had two daughters if the dates are correct born in 1862. Nancy Theador which nothing can be found on, so I surmise she died early and she may have been a twin to Dora, that is if she ever existed. I have no idea where they found the dates for Samuels children or if they just made a guess. The McLaughlins are a mystery even if they are my family. Thanks again for your kindness and help, I would never have found this. The best to you and yours. Rick McLaughlin
