Wallace of Granville Street, Pataskala, and within a few minutes her soul had gone to that bourne whence no traveler e'er returns. Mrs. Mason had been with her daughter for the past three weeks and apparently was in good health. On Sunday her son Frank and family were here and spent the day with her which visit she greatly enjoyed. She expressed herself as feeling well and was animated in her conversation and seemingly enjoyed talking of "old times" in Etna. Mrs. Mason had spent a restful night and had just seated herself at the breakfast table about 7:15 Monday morning and had been served by her daughter who had turned again to the stove, when she suddenly placed her hand at the back of her neck and exclaimed "O, Ada!" and became unconscious. Dr. Bell was summoned but the patient was beyond any earthly help and expired a few minutes later. Deceased was in her 82nd year and was the widow of the late Wm. E. Mason of Etna who died in 1897. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Mary McVey an invalid now living with her brother at Etna, Mrs. Ada Wallace of Pataskala, Frank of Columbus and William of Etna. Mrs. Mason was a lady of kindly disposition and deeds and was greatly beloved by all who knew her. The body was taken to her home in Etna on Tuesday from where the funeral was held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon and interment made in the Etna Cemetery by Vinton D. Morrow.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/2VB.2ACE/507 Message Board Post: I'm researching John Fulton who was born in Ireland about 1749, and died in Ohio Aug 28 1823. He was the child of James Fulton and Ann Colwell- Scotch-Irish who immigrated to Nova Scotia. After living in various places in Nova Scotia and marrying Mary Simpson who lived from about 1754 to April 1799, John took the Patriot side in the American War of Independence. Despite some colorful adventures this did not achieve success in Nova Scotia obviously. John settled somewhere in Maine before settling on the Canadian Refugee Tract in Ohio, where he received 2 grants of 323 acres. The grant is in Fairfield County right on the border of Franklin County. John, his second wife Christianna Cock and an extended family including his daughter's family- Jane or Janet Fulton, who married Daniel Ross, and another son John Simpson Fulton lived in this area. Perhaps more. Some, including John, but apparently not Christianna, are buried in Truro Presbyterian Cemetery (aka Madison-Truro Cemetery) Madison Township, Franklin County, Ohio. They were moved from Taylor Graveyard where first buried during a road interchange construction in 1965. Taylor Graveyard was located 200 yards south of the end of Taylor Rd. which runs south one-half mile from the Columbus and Lancaster Pike- State Route 21 in Franklin County, Ohio. Taylor Graveyard also contained Taylors from the same area of Nova Scotia- Colchester County. Perhaps a Presbyterian stronghold? Fulton was associated with James Crawford who served with him and settled in the Tract in Franklin County. He was also associated with Jonathan Eddy who led the rebellion in Nova Scotia. Eddy also received grants, but no one with that name settled, so perhaps they were sold. This is a sketch of what I have(mostly from the work of Rick Vance). More information is available if you have questions. I'd love to connect with those who are related to the Fulton or Ross descendants. I have information on the Nova Scotia family, but who are the descendants, and where did they go in the US? John and his first wife Mary Simpson are my fourth great grandparents by the way. Thanks David Creelman

I get back from NC on the 3rd, and can go on the 4th or 5th if I dont have a job (I am a substitute teacher, and work PT). Michael & Hannah's Rebecca, b. @ 1821 m. Mathias Ridenour son of John Henry Ridenour and Hannah SPOHN (of the Perry Co. Ridenour group) Any way they married cousins, don't know how far removed. Rebecca (Ridenour) Miller b. @1810, would "probably" be a dau. of the early Ridenour families that came to OH from MD and PA. There was Ludwig R of Perry Co. OH, and John R. of Fairfield Co., OH, Mathias R. of Licking Co., OH, and Anthony R. of Ross Co., OH, and I believe a David in Gurensey or Morgan Co., OH area. Lots of possibles. Rebecca (Ridenour) Miller is listed in "Mo" Ridenours "Ancestors are Forever" as parents unknown. They had a daughter name Mary Adelia Dixon, these are my g-g-g-grandparents. I haven't been able to locate them. But I have been told they Isaba can be found in the 1860 census for Fairfield Co., OH. Unfortunately it doesn't say which township. My family originated from around there in Walnut Twp.. I was hoping someone could check into this for me. I sure would appreciate it.

We hope to have a new website up very soon. For now there is just some basic information available. Please be patient and check back often.
