    3. Here's what I found for you In Partition Abstracts Vol 1 p.26 p.319-1839 Bobst heirs- Daniel T Bobst, Eliza & Robert Paden, Elizabeth & David Wilson, Christian Bobst, George Bobst, Michael Bobst and Mary & David Caldwell. Will of Mary Bobst - Estate File #1726 F.C. Wills & Estate Abstracts -Cases 1001-2000 p.56 Case 1726- estate of Mary Bobst of Rushville filed 1839, Administrators were Robert Paden/Patten and Daniel T. Bobst. Name mentioned Christian Bobst. Mary owned land in sec.28, twp.17,range 17 and a lot in Rushville. Marriages FC Marriage Book- Vol1 1800-1835 p.77 - Christian Bobst to Sally Bugh 18 Nov 1824 p.84 - Eliza Bobst to Robert Paden 6 Oct 1825 p.68 - Elizabeth to David Wilson 31 Oct 1822 p.72 - Mary Ann to David Colwell 13 Nov 1823 all these marriages performed by Andrew Henkel/Henkess/ Herkch/Herkley (spelling all different but appears the same name) Only one marriage after this time period in Vol.3 - p25 Mary Jane Bobst to Robert Turner 13 Oct 1852 MB2-30 ( this appears to be dtr. of Christian) Only Cemetery records found Rushville Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Richland Twp) p.19 Bobst - Thomas Ewing s/o Christian & Sarah d.3 Sept 1838 1yr5d - John s/o Christian & Sarah d.3 Aug 1827 2m4d - Daniel B s/o Christian & Sarah d.11 Nov 1832 b.9 Jan 1830 - Mary d. 27 Feb 1838 66y 9m 24d - Anna Barbara b.4Feb 1833 d. 23 Aug 1843 10y6m19d - Matilda M b.3 Aug 1826 d 14 Oct 1843 17y 2m 11d - Sarah dtr. of C. & S d.23 Nov 1851 8y 10m Paden - Thomas Bobst s/0 Robert & Eliza d.8 Sept 1828 4y4m22d - Eliza w/o Robert d.20 Dec 1849 42y I did a quick lookup on the census for your George Bobst and noticed he was born 1797 about. Possible that he is the George listed in the partitions abstract and brother to Daniel,Eliza,Elizabeth, Christian, Michael and Mary. Mary that died in 1839 would be his mother and marriages his siblings, but no marriage record found for him. Possible he married in other surrounding county. The only thing I found in the obituary abstracts was for David Wilson 1885 which is as follows: Vol3 p.7 June 13 1885 - David Wilson was born in Bedrod Co.PA on 8Sept 1797 and died in Eureka, Missouri 17 May 1885. He came to Fairfield C. OH with his parents in 1800 and maried Elizabeth Bobst on 30 Oct 1822. In 1860 they moved to Moargan Co.Missour to Tipton Missouri in 1862 and to Eureka Missouri 1880 to live with younest dtr. Mrs. A. B. Markley. He was the father of Mars. Robert Work of Fairfield Co. I do not find them on the census after 1860. I'd also like to find their children. I find no male Strunks on the 1850 census age 20-25 in Fairfield county that aren't attached to another set of parents. I don't have much hope that I'll ever identify these children. It's possible that none lived to adulthood. I'd appreciate any help someone might have to offer for this family. Author: shellyinoh Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.fairfield/1387.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: For those interested, all the Bloom township, Fairfield Co., Ohio cemeteries are represented somehow on the www.foorgenealogy.com/cemetery website. This is NOT a cemetery transcription website, though... but if you were to click on the Greencastle cemetery link, you'd see, for instance, two links... one for photographs, and one for those known to be buried there. Info on each individual does NOT necessarily come from their tombstone inscription. There may actually be MORE info on them; i.e. the tombstone may just say 1838-1919 but the date in "those buried" may be much more specific. Info on dates of birth and death often come from more than one source: Baptismal records, birth records, death records, obituaries, etc. Info on the cemetery main page details this fully.
