Write to them at State Library of Ohio, 65 Front Street, Columbus, OH, 43215 If you send them a family name and a county name (One family name and one county name per letter) along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope, they will check their indexes for that name in that county and will send you a listing of how many entries they found and what it will cost you to get photocopies of everything. They are extremely reasonable in their pricing and fairly quick with their replies. It's been a while since I used them, but I learned a great deal very quickly from them. You can also get information from the State Library of Ohio by sending the same request of one name per county per letter (as described above) to this e-mail address: <ancestor@winslo.state.oh.us> . Of course, remember to put your name, etc. in the request. They will notify you if they find anything and send you a form online that you print out, sign, and send with a check or money order to the Library address. They tell you how much is owed at the top of the letter usually. Your copies will come in manila envelopes---no need for SASEs. I myself have had good luck with them, though their repsonse time does vary (perhaps due to the time of the year you write)---I have had some VERY fast and good help from them, as well as some slower, but equally as helpful, responses. So, it might be worth a try, anyway. I find it very useful as I have little chance of getting anywhere on my own to research most of the time. Good luck to you!
