Maggie, Got the following SPAM yesterday. You are probably aware of what a serious problem this is becoming, and as you can see, I am on pacbell.net and we were totally shut down for days because of SPAM. (It was all over the California newspapers.) Please let everyone know that this isn't funny and the SPAMMER'S idea is to let them know that they have reached a valid address in order to keep sending this junk. From what I understand, the Office of Consumer Affairs is on a "search and destroy" mission regarding "SPAM" and the smart thing to do is just forward junk to uce@ftc.gov. The following says "to be removed . . . " but once you do it, you're on the list. It's not a "virus" but from my own experience, can really cause problems.
